Discussion:
Deleting templates (again)
(too old to reply)

I did the search on the MS community thing but no cigar.

I only use a few of these templates and wish to clear the others out.

Simply put: How do you delete or otherwise get rid of templates listed in
OneNote?
The supposed location in Docs & Settings merely shows me a small file I
cannot open to edit.

Second thought - are you attempting to delete the templates installed as
standard by OneNote? Because this method will not work with them - Delete
is disabled.

Yes, I wish to delete almost the whole bunch.
If I could find their location I may delete the whole thing
and just use a couple or three of my own.

This is from Microsoft:
http://blogs.msdn.com/onenotetips/archive/2008/05/21/templates-in-onenote.aspx

"Only customized templates can be deleted."

I guess the consolation for you is that your My Templates appears at the top
of the listing, so you can simply ignore the rest.

Did you try out the "Template Manager Powertoy for OneNote 2007"

No I didn't, as the info indicated it was only used on user added templates.
