Hi NG!

Is there a way to tell ON to acually take a TAB, instead of opening a table
column?

No. This has been asked numerous times.

If there's nothing else on a line, the TAB key will indent. Otherwise it
starts to create a table. OneNote does not have Tab stops or a similar
feature. If you need something like that, you can "slum it" with a table.

Could you explain "slum it" for a non-english-native-speaker? ;-)

Sorry ;)

A slum is slang for low-quality living conditions. A run-down apartment is
sometimes called a slum. If you do something at a lower level than you're
used to, then you're "slumming it".

What I meant in my message is that since OneNote does not have Tab stops,
you can simulate the feature using a table. Sorry for using the slang
expression ;)

Tab stops would be an awfully nice addition to ON.
Just my 2 cents.
Thx
