Scrolling through imported Powerpoint is slow

Hi,

I've used the PPT2One program to import my powerpoint files into
OneNote...the problem is, after importing 50 or so powerpoint
presentations, the .one files get huge (which is not so much a
problem), but scrolling through my notes (with embedded slides) is
quite laggy and switching from section to section sometimes takes up to
40, 50 seconds...

I'm running Windows XP on a 1.6ghz Pentium M processor with 512mb of
RAM...

Does anyone have any suggestions? I like OneNote for it's easy
bulleting/numbering functions, but I can't deal with the lag!

Thanks.

Offhand I'd recommend upgrading your RAM but you may want to check Task
Manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) while it's being slow and see if you can figure out
if the CPU or Memory are being heavily loaded.

Everything runs fine with the system I have. I decided to test OneNote
with all my current notes on another system, so I installed OneNote and
copied over all my notes on a P4 3.2gHz with 2gigs of RAM. It's still
lagged with it scrolls, although not as bad.

Notebook sizes reach ~350 megs with 8 imported PowerPoint lectures per
notebook.
